Looking Forward: April 2015

Wednesday, April 1, 2015
2015 is speeding right along, isn't it? I've been in a swing of some realyl good books since this year started. I'm at my lowest amount of 1-stars per 100 books ever! (Yes, I did the math. It was gloriously nerdy.) I'm on track to beat my goal of 275 books so that will probably be changing.

That said, I've got my eye on a few special books that I plan to read and review.

Lady of the Eternal City by Kate Quinn (Empress of Rome #4)
This series has turned me into an unabashed Kate Quinn fangirl. I've begun pushing her books on anyone who has even a passing interest in: great female characters, history, Rome, books. They're detailed and intricate and I have a review for this already written. TLDR: READ THESE BOOKS OK. Then let me know so we can shout our feelings at one another.

Helen of Sparta by Amalia Carosella
I've been on a historical fiction fix and this book features some of my favorite people from historical legend. Not just Helen, but Cassandra and HECTOR. It's chunky book but it's gotten some excellent reviews. I'm on the blog tour, so stop by later to see what I think!
